Whasington navel

Mutation located in Bahia (Brazil) around the year 1800. The tree is vigorous, rounded in shape and with large skirts. Its leaves are dark and it has some thorns on the most vigorous branches.

The flowers lack pollen and the fruits are very large, spherical or somewhat elongated and orange in color. Navel visible to the outside. Without seeds.

This variety is normally harvested after Navelina and Newhall, over a fairly long period, from December to May, depending on the area. It is one of the most cultivated varieties in Spain and in the world due to its great quality for fresh consumption.
