Navelate

Washington mutation originating in Vinaròs (Castellón).

Vigorous tree, with the presence of thorns that are smaller on the fruiting branches. The flowers lack pollen and the fruits have a navel, although smaller than other varieties of the navel group.

This variety is normally harvested after Navelina and Newhall, over a fairly long period, from December to May, depending on the area. It is one of the most cultivated varieties in Spain and in the world due to its great quality for fresh consumption.

The fruit has little adherence to the peduncle when ripe, requiring several treatments if you want to keep the fruit on the tree until the end of March.
